Amazon seller fraud - Can you purchase with confidence from Amazon ?

Some amazon sellers are preventing product returns by updating the actual delivery date in Amazon after the return time window is over.

For some products, delivery is done by the seller instead of Amazon. In this case, for you to request the return of an order at Amazon, the seller should have updated the delivery date on the same date of delivery. Otherwise, the order will show as undelivered till the seller updates and during this time, the purchaser cannot request for a return. If the seller does the update of delivery date after the return time window closes, the purchaser will loose the opportunity to request for return of the order.

This hack is being used by some sellers at Amazon to prevent the return of their sold products.

The screenshot below shows that the delivery was done on 30 Oct. But this delivery date was updated by the seller in Amazon only on 15 Nov. The seller updates a past date, after purposefully delaying the update for 15+ days after the delivery was done.

The worst case - as on the date of this post, Amazon has no provision to let their customers report this type of issue to them - no support phone number, no support email id, no other support option, only web links circling among each other. I tried all possiblities and then only writing this post finding no other way.

#Amazon, can people purchase with confidence from you?

Amazon can prevent this fraud by not allowing to update a past delivery date. Until they do this, they will be co-operating with this type of fraud sellers.
